Chocorua was born in South Carolina, daughter of Kniki and Buck. Penthea has a special place in her heart for Kniki and couldn't resist the chance to live with one of her off-spring!

Chocorua is a real dog's dog. She loves playing rough with all of our dogs but also has plenty of time to cuddle with humans. She gets to play with her sister, Lily, who is also in Maine.

She's also a great traveling companion and is having fun in the show ring! She easily earned her Championship by 9 months, and went on to quickly earn her Grand Championship title by 18 months. She runs lead on our team with her best friend Moxie.

Chocorua has had two litters of puppies. With her first boyfriend, GR CH Cloudburst Kennebec River, she had three pups. In her second, with CH Balsam Ridge Tucker, she had five pups. She was a fantastic mom and never missed a beat going from crazy pack dog to caring mom, back to crazy pack dog. What a great dog!

All of the family was at the National Specialty this year - Conaway, Abi, Chocorua and Tecumseh are just 9 months old here.
